Hurewicz attended school in a Russian controlled Poland but with World War I beginning before he had begun secondary school, major changes occurred in Poland. In August 1915 the Russian forces which had held Poland for many years withdrew. Germany and AustriaHungary took control of most of the country and the University of Warsaw was refounded and it began operating as a Polish university. Rapidly, a strong school of mathematics grew up in the University of Warsaw, with topology one of the main topics. Witold Lutos Awski $73.28 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Witold Lutos awski (January 25, 1913 February 7, 1994) was one of the major European composers of the 20th century, and one of the preeminent Polish musicians during his last three decades. During his lifetime, Lutos awski earned many international awards and prizes, including the Order of the White Eagle, Polands highest honour. During his youth, Lutos awski studied piano and composition in Warsaw. His early works were influenced by Polish folk music. His style demonstrates a wide range of rich atmospheric textures. He began to develop his own characteristic composition techniques in the late 1950s. His music from this period onwards incorporates his own methods of building harmonies from small groups of musical intervals. It also uses aleatoric processes, in which the rhythmic coordination of parts is subject to an element of chance. His compositions (of which he was a notable conductor) include four symphonies, a Concerto for Orchestra, and several instrumental concertos and orchestral song cycles. The tour bus collided with a truck carrying wood, giving serious head injuries to Kie tyka and Adrian Kowanek. The two were taken to a hospital in Novozybkov, Russia. While Kie tykas family released a statement on November 1, 2007, saying that his condition had improved, he underwent trepanation and was due to be transported to a hospital in Krakow, Poland, for further treatment. However, Kie tyka died on November 2, 2007, at the age of 23.The Norwegian symphonic metal band Dimmu Borgir played a tribute concert to him on November 2 at Oulu, Finland.
