Shrek Musical Broadway
Best broadway shows to see in 2009? (And their availability)?
Okay, so I am going into the city one day with my family and we are just going early and seeing what shows we can get tickets to that day. I’m saving Next to Normal for later in the year, but if it’s the only thing we can get tickets to, then we’ll see it then.
Okay, here are my top 3 shows I want to see
1.) Billy Elliot (totally unrealistic, I know…)
2.) Hair
3.) West Side Story
Now, I know these are all best sellers, so can anyone think of a great, relatively CURRENT (I was going to see Avenue Q, but it’s going off and truthfully, I want to see something that came out within a two-three year time period) musical? (Not Shrek or Rock of Ages, please)

Well , none of those shows were on the TKTS booth list… but you might get lucky if it’s an off day. If not…
In the Heights is a Tony Winner (I believe) and a great story! That would be your best bet for the TKTS booth.. It’s been out for a year or so..
I would also say 9 to 5 the Musical. It’s a great comedy, so I hear…
Lastly, Mary Poppins (now don’t laugh!) I saw it! It was amazing! I loved it soo much and am going again to see it! The entire cast was great (and I saw it on Tony night so there were a lot of understudies)!
