What is the Best Music Making Program?
As a musician, a lot of people ask me what the best music making program is for anyone who wants to start dabbling in music production as a hobby or even more professionally down the road. It’s a tough question, and the truth is, there is no real right answer.
Even so, I can definitely help evaluate what you can expect from certain programs so that you can decide what the best music making program is for you.
The Best Music Making Program – FREE
- ideal for those who prefer cheapness over quality and variety of sounds
- limited choice of sounds
- lacks in quality of sound, mixing, editing
- mostly useful for those who are seeking a quick music fix for a related video or something of that nature
The Best Music Making Program – $20 to $50
- ideal for beginners who are serious about learning music production
- usually offers good quality and variety of sounds
- usually offers a wide range of tools for mixing and editing
- often designed to appeal to a wide population (beginner to professional)
- includes learning resources such as tutorials and samples
- offers great user support
The Best Music Making Program – From $100 and Up
- ideal for professionally experienced music producers
- includes a wide array of advanced tools
- may require integration of other advanced equipment (i.e., electronic instruments, sound recording devices)
- not at all ideal for beginners, relatively complicated for the average person to learn
So, there you have it.Hopefully this gives you a little bit better of an idea on how to choose the best music making program as it depends on your experience and needs.
I use a program that lies somewhere along the middle of this list. I like good quality, but I didn’t want to spend $100 on a program.
