Movie Theatre Car
what is it like to watch a movie in a drive-in movie theatre?

I’ve never been to a drive-in movie theatre. how many people can watch a movie from one car? can people in the back seats watch too? is it comfortable? about how many cars can fit in a drive-in theatre? how do you get the sound? what system of projection is used?

You have never lived if you haven’t been to a drive-in. Normally a double feature with intermission in between so you can go to the snack bar. We used to fit in as many people as possible in the car. Some places charged by car and some per person. Fun to try and sneak people in locked in the boot. Here in Australia it was fun to take along a couple of chairs or bean bags in the summer so you could sit outside. There was a speaker attached to a pole that you hooked onto your window but these used to get broken when people drove off without putting them back on the pole. The later ones had a system that would pick up radio freuwncy in your car radio and run it through that way. Horror films were always the best at the drive in. If you get a chance, do yourself a favour.

Movie Theater

Movie Theater

$79.66

A movie theater, movie theatre, picture theatre, film theater or cinema is a venue, usually a building, for viewing motion pictures ( movies or films ). Most movie theaters are commercial operations catering to the general public, who attend by purchasing a ticket. The movie is projected with a movie projector onto a large projection screen at the front of the auditorium. Some movie theaters are now equipped for digital cinema projection, removing the need to create and transport a physical film print. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Woods Theatre was a movie palace located at the corner of Randolph and Dearborn Streets in downtown Chicago. It opened in the 1920s and was popular entertainment destination for decades. The Woods was designed in the grand style of movie palaces of the early 20th century by the firm Marshall and Fox, which also designed such stillextant Chicago structures as the Blackstone Theatre (later renamed the Merle Reskin Theatre) and the Drake Hotel. Although it was demolished in the 1990s, it was considered for entry in the National Register of Historic Places. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Street Theatre

Street Theatre

$58.94

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Street theatre is a form of theatrical performance and presentation in outdoor public spaces without a specific paying audience. These spaces can be anywhere, including shopping centres, car parks, recreational reserves and street corners. They are especially seen in outdoor spaces where there are large numbers of people. The actors who perform street theatre range from buskers to organised theatre companies or groups that want to experiment with performance spaces, or to promote their mainstream work. Sometimes performers are commissioned, especially for street festivals, childrens shows or parades, but more often street theatre performers are unpaid or gather some income through the dropping of a coin in a hat by the audience. The logistics of doing street theatre necessitate simple costumes and props, and generally there is little or no amplification of sound, with actors depending on their natural vocal and physical ability. This issue with sound has meant that physical theatre, including dance, mime and slapstick, is a very popular genre in an outdoor setting. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Ziegfeld Theatre was a Broadway theater located at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and 54th Street in Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1927 and, despite public protests, was razed in 1966. A second Ziegfeld Theatre, named in honor of the original, is located at 141 West 54th Street in Manhattan. Designed as a deluxe single screen movie theater, it opened in 1969 and remains in operation today. The Ziegfeld Theatre was named for the famed Broadway impresario Florenz Ziegfeld, who built it with financial backing from William Randolph Hearst. Designed by Joseph Urban and Thomas W. Lamb, it opened on February 2, 1927 with the musical Rio Rita. The Ziegfelds second show was also its most famous, Jerome Kerns landmark musical Show Boat which opened on December 27, 1927. The Car

The Car

$76.47

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Car is a 1977 thriller/horror film directed by Elliot Silverstein and written by Michael Butler, Dennis Shryack and Lane Slate. It starred James Brolin, Kathleen Lloyd, John Marley, and Ronny Cox. The story is about a mysterious car which goes on a murderous rampage, terrorizing a small town. The movie was produced and distributed by Universal Studios, and was influenced by numerous road movies of the 1970s including Steven Spielbergs 1971 thriller Duel and Roger Cormans Death Race 2000 (from 1975). It has also been compared to Spielbergs Jaws, with a car replacing the shark. The film is memorable for its sound effects, most notably the terrifying horn blast the car makes when claiming a victim. Another unusual feature is that there are brief portions in which characters speak Navajo. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Venetian Theatre is a movie theater, performing arts venue, and restaurant in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon, United States. Prior to renovation the theater was owned by the city of Hillsboro who purchased it from Act III Theaters. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F.
