Broadway Poster Master
I have this crazy cool broadway Idea.?
My school has an amazing fine arts program. We make so much money off dance shows, plays, and concerts. But we never come together. Heres my idea. You have to tell me how it sounds…
We have a highschool broadway! For christmas next year. The school could have an orchestra, dancers, actors, and singers in the show. Our cosmetology department could do the makeup, our design graphics could make flyers and posters, the woodshop and prop masters could make the stage and and advanced english class could write the play. I wanted to do it for christmas next year. I know its so far but i thought it would be a great idea. The only problem is i have no Idea how to put it together. Im an active member of the fine arts department but who would i go to? tell me if you think its a good idea too. and maybe some pointers…
I think it’s fabulous! For a moment I was thinking: “Well, you have the musical in theatre to look forward to,” but that usually does not involve the dance department or orchestra, rather actors who dance and a piano player. I would pitch the idea to your theatre director, the choir director, the band director and the dance instructor and get their opinion. If they like the idea, go to the principal. =D But you’d be depending on high school students to write the show? What about the music? Maybe it’s a good thing you started thinking about it now because it takes roughly five years to produce a decent Broadway musical. Plan your platform now and preech it ASAP. I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun!
