Paint colours for 50′s kichen – advice/opinions needed please!?
Hello all!
I am in the process of redecorating my kitchen and would really like a 50′s style – not so much the diner look but a real 1950′s home look. I’ve done a bit of googling for pics and retro paint colour schemes and have whittled my preferences down to either a hazy turquoise blue/green colour or a coral orangey/red – the problem is now i am stuck! My kitchen is light and airy and fairly big and the units are neutral beige. I cannot decide between the whole room in the blue/green colour or the one large wall in the coral red as a feature wall with the other walls a neutral white. Or all coral? or one wall turquoise? Oh help! I went and bought testers today and with the colours on the wall i still cant decide. If you were my visitor and saw my kitchen in either of those would you want to throw up? lol Can any of you give me your opinions on what you think might look best? My husband is not much help at opinions!

Kitchen are normally warm places and depending on the location, east or west, the coral will be warm or warmer. Turquoise is a cool color and you can add the reds or greens as accents. Good luck!
